Future Projects (should we expand?)

Bars are not the only quality of life issue for our neighborhood.

Speaking with many of our neighbors we note that almost everyone is also concerned with traffic and transportation, crime, other sources of noise, smart growth, and the environment.

We want to hear from you what projects you’d like to see us work on as a Block Association, and we are certainly looking for people to join us in setting the direction (and perhaps helping with some of the work…) of  97 And 98 Lexington And Park Ave Neighbors.

Speaking of setting our direction, many who live within a few blocks of  97th And 98th, between Lexington And Park Ave. have strongly suggested we expand our formal mission area, and change our name to reflect the larger community.

“Southern East Harlem & Northern Upper East Side”…

“Northern Upper East Side & Southern East Harlem?”

SEHNUES…. ? NUESSEH?

  1. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE do not think about changing the name of our neighborhood. I love “El Barrio”. It says who and what we are!
